Meeting of the Executive Council of the International Maritime Confederation on 28/11/2013 in Venice. |

Already on the eve of 28. 11. 2013, the delegates of the members of our International Maritime Confederation met for a welcome dinner at the Navy Officer's Club in Venice, to prepare the extensive agenda for the day ahead with the necessary preliminary talks.

Important topics of conversation for the future direction of our International Maritime Confederation are - in addition to the reorientation of European marine subjects - the coming together of our national associations at the international level.
Beyond, the expansion of our Confederation is an important goal to achieve our statutory objectives and tasks.
During the meeting of the Executive Council and of the working groups not only the confirmation of the financial budget and the evaluation of the Youth Sailing Camp 2013 in Plön/Germany were discussed, but also the expansion of our IMC by new members.
Subsequently, the invited delegation of the Bulgarian Naval Confederation presented itself to our members and has asked for incorporation into our International Maritime Confederation.

In the ensuing debate about the new incorporation of our Bulgarian friends, the majority of the members has decided for the incorporation of the Bulgarian Naval Confedertion as a full member of the IMC.
During the gala dinner on the occasion of our Executive Council Meeting the incumbent President of the IMC, Karl Heid took advantage of the opportunity and congratulated Captain Stanko Stankov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Naval Confederation, to the membership in our Confederation.

At this point we give a big thank you to the team of Vice Admiral Paolo Pagnotella, president of the National Association MARINAI D'ITALIA (ANMI) for the preparation and organization of this labor-intensive and successful meeting of the Executive Council.
The next meeting of the Executive Council will take place in 2014 in Laboe / Germany on November 21. As host of the IMC-Sailing Camp 2014, the Bulgarian Naval Confederation could be engaged. This IMC Sailing Camp will be held in late July, early August in Varna on the Black Sea.
